Great back to school pictures!! I feel like a heel because I took only one! I was going to take some of my Emilee at kindergarten the first day but forgot my camera...I HATE that!!! I know you are always sad at this time of year. For that I am sorry. You are such an awesome mom! Keep your chin up, there are holidays around the corner!

Wow!!! These pictures are great. It takes a lot of time and forethought to do what you do, but what a wonderful memory. Kids look great . . . Emily's hair is so long (cute). All of a sudden they are growing up. What happened????

Love,
Joan

Thank you so much for spending the day with me on Tuesday! I had such a great time! (Mom loved the sheets; she thought they were very cute.) I look forward to seeing you this week, too!

Whew! Mar made it through the first week... barely.

Luckily, she had her niece Karen to give her emotional support, and she had plenty to keep her busy.

Ashton had a bit of a difficult adjustment also. I don't think he realized that transitions are a challenge for him. He's always had a unique bond with his mother. In the middle of the week, he seemed pretty happy, so Marilyn made a comment and asked what was his favorite part of the day. He responded "The note you left for me in my lunch!"

What a gift my children have to be blessed with such a strong bond with their Mom.

Mar - I know you will find joy in many ways this year.

Guess you and Marjorie Pay Hinkley will always share the first week of school as the "most difficult week of the year."

Love you,

JD
