This past week felt like a whirlwind to me.
All but two of Jonathan's siblings and their families were with us for the holiday.
We shared our usual traditions together, pie night on Wed. evening and of course the big Turkey dinner on Thanksgiving Day.
We were also able to feed our friends, the Chandlers, who drove all day from Arkansas to spend the weekend in Dallas.
A couple of my favorite highlights for the week:
(the tall one in the picture is Nathan's friend, Christian, not a Lloyd)
Highlight #1:
The "ICE!" Exhibit at the Gaylord Texan in Grapevine. (click on link to learn more about the exhibit)
ICE! at the Gaylord was absolutely amazing.
It was a must see for all ages.
I was in awe at what the artisans who sculpted the ice were able to do.
We enjoyed all of the beautiful carvings, lighting and the slides...(yep, I said slides) made out of ice.
Absolutely FABULOUS and FUN!

My other favorite highlight for the week was the entertainment on Saturday night provided by the kids!
They put together quite a show for us, it was great!
Dancing, music and singing, jokes and commercials in between! All together, they were very entertaining. It absolutely made my week!
I wasn't able to get pictures of that show....due to a couple of LOWLIGHTS on Sat.
Lowlight #1: Lost my keys at the Gaylord Texan, still not found or turned in.
Lowlight #2: My camera didn't like the 9 degree temps in the ice exhibit, couldn't use it afterward. :(
Lloyd clan, if you took pictures of the kids show, could you email them to me?
It would really be appreciated.
WOW!!! The ice show looks "Fantabulous" as you would say. I wish they had something like that around here. What an incredible thing to go see! And slides even?! Too cool!! (No pun intended) Sorry about the whole key mess. It would have been nice for you to be able to relax with everyone! Is your camera ok? I hate missing photo ops too! Hope someone sends you pictures so we can all see them too. Love ya, Kim

I'm glad you got to go to the Ice Exhibit! It looks incredible!
Man...9 degrees! That is so cold!! Though, this morning, as I walked to class, it was 10 degrees... quite chilly indeed.
Nathan's hair is SO long! It looks pretty good, too. (Though, I think he could pull off any haircut that he wanted to.)
I miss you all!

Dear Marilyn:
The pictures are absolutely wonderful. I think they show what a great time we had. The ice show was the best. Those pictures helped me to remember how incredible it was. We did take pictures of the entertainment. David came over and put them on a disk yesterday. Would you like me to get a copy and send it to you? I don't know how to send it otherwise.
Love you
Joan

What a memorable week!
My family was pampered big time (way more than they deserve...hee hee)!!
We had marvelous meals, great entertainment and the cousins absolutely love being together!! They are just like brothers and sisters... except they don't fight with each other.
Thanks everyone for coming, thanks for the great weather, and mostly, thank you Marilyn for initiating the visit and the marvelous meals and hospitality.

The ice scultures look awesome. My favorite of all the pictures there is of you and Johnathan in front of the two coke bears holding their coke. How cute! The slides looked like tons of fun... PJ is calling, gotta run. Love you all, Louise
