Megan,

You passed the test! No pouting, no bad attitude! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! You are growing up in many many ways. Kind of makes me happy and sad at the same time.

I love you and am so pleased with your decisions,

Dad

Thanks Mar for capturing these memories

Oh....I hate those moments! The saying that my mom use to always say.."This hurts me more than it hurts you" is so darn tootin true!!! It kills to have to see the expression on their faces when you take something they enjoy away. But you do a great disservice to your children if you do NOT take advantage of these teaching moments. It helps them grow stronger and be better citizens, family members, and people. Here's a gold star to you for sticking to your guns with your baby, Megaroo!

What great parents (I know that was a hard one to enforce). How lucky to have an understanding coach. I am sorry that you missed your meet Megan. Learning about consequences isn't easy. This will probably never happen again so now you are ahead of the game. I love you Megan, consider yourself hugged from me.

Dear Megan:

You are not a little girl any more. You showed remarkable maturity. I don't know if you shed tears, but I know your mom did. We love you so much.

Dear Megan:
I shed a tear as I looked at your picture and your mom explained that you couldn't go to the meet. We thought that you acted very grown up as you understood what your mom and dad were asking of you. We love you so much Megan and can tell that you are not a little girl anymore but a grown up girl of 9. It is nice to see a girl act like she should when she is being asked to do things that are hard for her. (I can tell it was so hard on your mom and dad too). (It was even hard on your grandparents for we hate to see you miss things you love to do).
Much love to you,
Grandpa and Grandma
