Meg~

I love to ride that bike!
I also loved that story. It was exciting to see that the bike was mine!

What a fun post!

That adorable little girl is still as much fun today as she was in 1970! And she grows more adorable every day.

Grandpa sure does have a soft spot in his heart for his girls!

Emily, I am so glad you love your new bike - you too Megan! Pass on the tradition for years to come.

Love,

PS. Ashton must have got his creative writing tendencies from his mom.

Mar, this post was lots of fun to read.

Love it.

Mar, it was so good to see your pictures and read your thoughts. It uplifted me, made me laugh--especially because I think I learned to ride a bike on that little green bike (Margaret and Steve taught me how, and then my parents bought me a little, brown banana-seat bike with horses painted on it.)--and I even teared up a little when I saw the picture of your dad hugging Megan. So sweet. I truly have tender feelings for your mom and dad, and I know how precious those moments are that you get to spend time with them. Thanks so much for sharing. And all your thoughts were just fun to read. You really are a remarkable person. Love you.

I can totally imagine Megs' joy at getting that beautiful old green Schwinn... I bet she could barely contain her joy. I wish that I had been there to see it!
And Emily looks absolutely radiant on her new red bike... you know, I think that her bike kind of reminds me of Carlotta. It's gorgeous, and I'm sure she absolutely adores it.
I also love the picture of Grandma and Grandpa on Dad's bike... wish that I had been there.
Love you guys!

All those bikes. . . are sweet rides! Very fun! That is a great story. I also enjoyed seeing the dark haired Marilyn, she looks very pretty.

Love, Love, Love that little green bike. What a throw back to yester-year! I cannot believe it is still here to tell the tale. And I would have to agree with Karen. Emily's bike does resemble Carlotta in some ways. What would we call her though...Bikelotta? Redlotta? Hmmm...
Congrats on the new bike, Emily and Congrats to you too Megan. What fun!!

Emily
