Last night our family finally took the journey through OZ and the Emerald City together.
And it was wonderful!
Wicked, even.
Watching the children get completely carried away by the music and the story was spectacular-acious. (a possible Glinda word).
Just a couple of minutes into the musical, Glinda (or Galinda) descends from the sky wearing a beautiful ball gown and traveling in a rather large bubble with loads of little bubbles floating all around her.
At that moment, Megan leaned over and whispered, "I want to be Galinda."
She was instantaneously Galindafied!
In fact, whenever Galinda seemed to be on stage, Megan was in stitches of laughter. So cute! Her new catch phrase is "I'll go first..." Yep, something she picked up from Galinda.
Since the kids have been listening to and enjoying the music for so long, they thought they had the entire storyline figured out but they were still surprised.
Smash especially liked the scene where Elphaba (the witch) is able to defy gravity!
That scene was also one of Nathan's favorites as well as the end when the story all comes together.
Jonathan's favorite moment was when Elphaba and Fiyero save the lion together (and the real magic begins).
Emily LOVED it all!
EVERY tick-tock!
Me too!
My favorite song is still For Good. Download 18_for_good.mp3 (However, this tends to turn me into a two-fisted Kleenex user).
This time was especially sweet for me. Sharing the experience with my family and seeing the joy, surprise and excitement on their faces throughout the musical was the BEST!
Watch a little Wicked video.(click here)
What a fantastic event! Our children keep reciting lines and bursting into song!
One short evening, but a lifetime of memories!
I am totally amazed at the innovative story line. The set is incredible and the music... wow!
This is so much better than getting COAL for Christmas!

Looks Wonderful. The music is beautiful. I'm glad you were all able to go. There's nothing quite like a live production. I loved Phanatom and Les Miserable11
