Dear Emily and Nathan:
I know how hard you have worked all summer and how hot it was as you practiced your marching. You look great in the pictures and I thrilled as I looked at them. You are the greatest.
Love,
Grandma Rich

Ah, band. I remember those days. You guys look great! I wish that I could get to see a performance. Love you guys!

Hooray for Nathan and Emily. I had to go to band camp in college 3 times (I was on the dance team, which was considered part of the band during football), and we had to learn to march the right way (heel-to-toe, roll on the outside, glide along the turf) and such. Every year it was hard, every year it was over 100 degrees I think, and every day I came home exhausted. I wasn't holding an instrument either(just dancing during the feature song)! Anyway, I know you've been working hard all summer. Way to go guys!

How straight and tall they all look. And yes, like ants...

I can't help but feel hot for the kids in that Texas sun, standing at attention for so long. I hope that the band has an indoor faciity?

Band is very fun and I am excited for our first game!!
I can't wait!

Such wonderful and colorful pictures. With all those hours of band practice it had better pay off. your kids look great and love their instruments (of course) because that is what Travis plays. He will love seeing these pictures as soon as my computer is up and going again!
