I am remembering, too. What a sad day.

Painful memories are powerful antidotes.

Thank you Marilyn,

I still remember that morning, I can remember how stunned I felt, and helpless. I remember thinking, why would anyone want to harm innocent people. Even though we've been made aware of the individuals responsible, it's hard to still understand why, and why they can condone the murder of harmless individuals in their own minds. I truly feel for the families and friends of the victims of 911.

Steve's comment says it all. I will NEVER forget where I was, how I felt, the moment it happened. I hope the friends and families of the victims have found some measure of comfort and peace in the last six years. Has it already been six years?

Unbelievable Pictures. Marilyn. It brings back those terrible, painful memories and the feelings of empathy for the victims. I'll never, never forget that day.

Louise Baca

We will never forget that day, we can all recall what we were doing when he got the news... I received an email that said to show your patriotism to wear red, white and blue that day in honor of all those we lost.

This was another life altering moment in our country's history. A time, like so many before, that will never be forgotten.

Grandma Sherril

What a day that was. I will never forget it. I felt like I wanted to do something but what?
I felt helpless. I really appreciate our soldiers for all their sacrifice in our behalf.
The pictures are great by the way. They really say a lot.

So complete was the devastation. The hatred so obvious, the senselessness so frustrating. Then we once again showed the colors Emily is so proud of! I am completely amazed by the ability America has to bounce back with a furiously compassionate response to tragedy. I was amazed by what happened in the immediate aftermath of September 11th, and felt a true unity of country and a hope I had not felt in some time.

"It's difficult in times like these: ideals, dreams and cherished hopes rise within us, only to be crushed by grim reality. It's a wonder I haven't abandoned all my ideals, they seem so absurd and impractical. Yet I cling to them because I still believe, in spite of everything, that people are truly good at heart." --- Anne Frank
