this time for Jonathan.
While he was working in Boston, he had the pleasure of meeting (face to face) one of his new bosses; the boss of his boss, to be exact. (Would that be his Grand-boss?) :)
This new (grand) boss of Jonathan's must be quite an intelligent and remarkable man. Jonathan came home telling me just how impressed he was with him, what a great organization he is running, and how happy he is to be able to work for a man like him, etc.
Just a few days after meeting with his new boss, Jonathan received an eAward from him, in which he congratulated Jonathan for his outstanding efforts. Along with the eAward, his (grand) boss stated this, "I am very impressed with the SFP marketing team's work in improving the go to market for SAN'S transceivers and cables. Your work in simplifying, training, developing great sales tools, and bringing the story to our channel partners will be a significant contributor to growing this business. Thank you and keep going."
I am thrilled that Jonathan is being noticed and thanked for the work he is doing at present.
It is always wonderful to feel appreciated! (Especially when it is well-deserved).
Woohoo for Uncle Jonathan!!! I know your family misses you when you have to go away, but it's obviously paying off. It's nice your company recognizes you for a job well done. You definitely deserve a big thank you for all you do for all of us.

Mar,
Are you tootin' my horn?
Thanks! It is really nice to get recognized for a job well done.
The best award awaits me every day when I walk through the door and hear all of you (I mean those of you that are home:)

Jon, I think I like reading your answers to Mar's posts ALMOST as much as the posts themselves. You crack me up! Congrats on being recognized for all of your hard work and great values. That doesn't happen much in the corporate world of today. Your (grand)boss IS a very smart man to know what a great employee he has in you.
