PERFECT IDEA! I'm going to use it today. In addition to your "foodie" blog, you should also have one dedicated to parenting tips and tricks. In fact, in the weeks leading up to Christmas, I reminded Ariana that Santa DOES give coal to children that don't end up on the "NICE" list. I referred her to Smash and Megan if she had further questions.

You and Jonathan have certainly done a fabulous job with your children. Please post more things that worked (or things that didn't work so well).

That's such a good idea, Marilyn, for your children. I wonder if it would work for MEN!!!!

I love this idea. I have used it many times also. My kids just roll their eyes and then end up laughing by the end of it all. Another fun one I use is when two kids are fighting alot, we make them go out back, hold hands around a tree and walk in a circle around it. They end up laughing and realizing that they really do like each other. I LOVE being a parent!!

Smash and Megan,

Mom's right you do need to practice not leaving your school stuff strewn all over the house - I'm glad to see you learning how to put them away.

Once you've got it down... could you give Emily a few pointers? :)

Love you,

Dad

I have also used this tactic on Julia (the receptionist at my old job told me about it). She didn't like it so much, but it does help. I showed her the pictures of Smash and Megan doing it today. She thought it was so funny that they made it humorous and improvised. She doesn't think it is so bad anymore. She just asked when I needed to do that again...

That receptionist is SO clever!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank heavens you have shared this bit of information with me in the past and we have used it with much success. Glad for the reminder of it!
