I don't know a lot about marching bands, but this is terrific. Wow!!! Emi . . . I'm so very proud of you. I looked on the right side of the field and looked for the Littlest Lloyd. GOOD LUCK IN SAN ANTONIO; Love you TONZ Emi.

WOOOOOOOO! Wow. What an impressive show!! I can't even tell you how nostalgic I just got for marching band.

Those lines--so good. So straight. The sound--amazing! These pieces are definitely not the easiest to march to, especially with so many potential tears. But wow, you guys stuck with it and stayed on track.

I'm so proud!!

AND STATE!!! Holy cow! That's AWESOME. My freshman year, we got close to going to state--I think that we placed 11th or 12th. But Junior year, we had no chance. I'm so excited for you Emily!!

Congratulations!!!!

Mar~

Karen,
I am shocked! I thought your band did go to State! Your band was one of the best...ever! Were you still joined with the Marcus kids at that point? Marcus is unbelievable!
We miss you. Wish you and Tyler could come to State with us, you would love it!
They actually took out some of their more difficult formations just before Area, but I believe they added them back in tonight for State.
They had a two hour rehearsal in the rain (steady and strong), with temps in the 50's, tonight. I know that isn't cold compared to other areas but for these kids it is, they are not used to that.
She came home soaked through to the bone. But she also came home to a fire in the fireplace, cocoa on the stove, a hot shower and a mom who loves her dearly. :)

Hi Ho, Hi Ho, to San Antonio you go.
And when you land, cheer for that band,
Hi Ho, Hi Ho.

AGAIN, EMI, GOOD LUCK!

How exciting Emily! I know that if our little band were to play in Texas we would be cremated by the competition. You guys are dedicated! And your performance is amazing. The practice shows. Good luck in San Antonio. (Travis had State competition in Pueblo,CO on Monday. They took second by .25 points. So close!!)
