OUR FRIEND, LORI, CAME BY
(the morning Nathan and I left) in order to capture OUR FAMILY together in ONE photo!
I don't know if she knows just how thankful I am for that! The week before Nathan left was terrible. Smash was sick, I was sick, Emily felt sick, and then it hit Jonathan too! Only Nathan and Megan remained healthy. It was a difficult and disappointing week.
Lori literally snapped away right up until we loaded luggage into Ginger's car. (Thanks Ginger for the fast ride!)
Jonathan was so sick, he had contracted the dreaded flu and I felt terrible asking him to pose for photos but he wanted to try; he too wanted our family in one shot all together.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Lori, did you wave a magical photoshop wand on Jonathan? He was SO sick and he doesn't even look it! His eyes look tired and a little drawn but only because I know what they normally look like, I don't think others would notice.
We were able to venture outside next to our home for a few shots outdoors. Thanks for hanging in there Jon, I know you felt terrible! And Lori, thanks for taking time out of your day with your precious kids to see us off, take some photos and make us so happy!
I'm so glad we got to take pictures with the whole family!
I love spending time with our family and I especially like the pictures where we are doing what we really act like ourselves
I'm going to miss Nathan but I'm never going to forget about him!

I just KNEW you would have a friend come to the rescue. I just knew it! The last picture is my favorite. The poses, the colors....perfect! Now Nathan has pictures to show the families he teaches.

Look at Smash rocking the pink shirt! Lookin' good, buddy!
But seriously, Aunt Mar. These pictures are awesome. Kudos to Uncle Jonathan for being such a good sport about the pictures. They turned out beautifully!! (But with such good material, how could the pictures not turn out well?)
Everyone looks so grown up, too!
I really like the picture of the kids. It really cracks me up.
Thank goodness for Lori!

The pictures are so beautiful! I was so heartbroken to think Aunt Mar would not get her last pre-mission family photo. Thank you, Lori, so much for helping fulfill this wish of my aunt's. Everyone looks fabulous. I hope everyone is feeling better!!

I hoped beyond hope that you would get your family picture. You have such a great support group of friends. Thanks to Lori, our hero!!! The pictures are awesome, but my fave is the one of the kids and you guys in the background. It's priceless.
We'll definitely be adding Nathan to our "missionaries we're corresponding with" list.
