Here's the little bundle of joy that we added to our family this year...
well, truthfully, she is only a part-time add
but still is tons of fun!
We are having the BEST time together!
It is quite miraculous and amazing how I ended up with this sweet little addition, Marin. I'm absolutely thrilled to have her in our home part time!
I got this note from her sweet grandmother today:
"Dear Marilyn,Words don't explain how very thankful we are for your tender loving care of Marin! What a blessing it is to know that Marin is with you. You are a dear, and this is another example that there are "no accidents" when God has His hand in your life. Thank you for being His hands with sweet Marin. The pictures are the most beautiful gift."
Funny conversation tonight with Meg:
Meg: Mom, what did you and Marin do today?
Me: Well, I fed her, she napped, I changed her diapers, she had a blow out, she had tummy time, exercise time, stretching time, I read to her, we played, I held her a lot, etc.
Meg: Did her mom tell you to do all those things with her?
Me: No, why?
Meg: I was just wondering why you would do all of that and what is exercise time and stretching time? Tummy time is when she learns to keep her head up, right?
Me: Oh, well, I just did all of the things I used to do with you. Exercise time is when the baby lays on her back and I move her little legs around and around like they would on a bicycle, and then I do the same with her arms. Stretching time is when I pull her up on her feet and let her stretch her back and legs out, I hold her arms up high and give her a good stretch. While she is laying down, I rub her legs and arms and stretch them out too.
Meg: (While giggling) You did all of that with me when I was a baby?
Me: Yep!
Meg: Oh, Mom! You are so fun!
Oh Meg! YOU are such FUN!
i heard all about the new addition from gayla at breakfast a couple of weeks ago! i've been anxiously awaiting her arrival through pictures! :-)
i also heard how this gift to her parents is "better than mary poppins"!!! i can only imagine what this precious little girl will have.... knitted hats, handmade clothes, scapbooks full of photos,
