Wednesday the 29th of September, the two Marilyn's (my niece and I) set out to conquer (hopefully) one of the biggest challenges of the wedding day...
the dress!
Our goal for the day:
Find the style and size that seems to fit, feel and look the best.
It was a great time!
Wedding dress shopping, although it can be stressful, is fun.
Brides, with a glow and excitement that only a soon-to-be-bride exudes, look so beautiful in the gowns they try on.
But when they find "the one" (the dress - after they find "the one"- the groom) they have a whole new look about them.
And that is what happened to Marilyn.
We were only looking for ideas but when she tried IT on, IT was the one.
She stood with confidence and poise, it was unlike any of the other dresses.
Her hands flared out slightly as she turned from side to side.
Much like a little girl dressed up as a princess for the very first time.
The dress is beautiful on her.
The style is just right.
And it is comfortable!
Can you believe it? Comfortable!
All of that - and in her budget.
After she was able to go out with her mom and double check to make sure...
she placed her order.
I have permission to share a little sneak peek with you...
I know you can't see much of the dress, it will officially debut in January.
And the faux fur stole? Isn't that the best for a January wedding?!
A closer look at the beaded lace, you cannot believe how soft, stretchy and giving this lace is, it will be so comfortable for her to wear! Sorry the color is not right - it's a phone photo in fluorescent lighting...it really is very lovely.
Thanks Mar! For taking care of Marilyn,
Jonathan

Oh she is beautiful! Very elegant looking dress, too. And the stole is just so unique.

Hi Aunt Mar! Thanks for coming and helping me. You forgot to mention it was a dress that I never would have tried on if you didn't talk me into it. Sometimes things look one way on a hanger and then you try it on and bam! it's perfect!!
I am sooo excited to get to wear this beautiful dress for Adam. Of course I'm even more excited for the actual wedding... :)
