Grandma Joan

It's nioce to have you back. I'm so sorry about yout back. My heart really goes out to you. I hope you will be able to get back to the things that are so important to you, you family and friends. . God bless you.

I love you, Aunt Mar. And I'm very excited to see you soon! We are (and will be) keeping you in our prayers.

Hope you get lots of rest this week before you have to travel!

If there is one thing I can relate to, it is back issues. I have always had them. It runs in my dad's family. I feel your pain all the way over here. As if you need one more thing to keep you grounded (ha). have fun at the wedding. I will pray that you have relief for awhile so that you can enjoy.

Grazie, grazie, grazie per la lettera! Mi sono preoccupata tantissimo in questi ultimi giorni a causa di te...

For one thing, I know all too much about how debilitating back injuries can be. I had mine hurt significantly in a car accident about 20 years ago, and it tends to flare up 2-3 times a year for either a few days or weeks. I also went through my own episode of "tailbone-smackdown" over the winter, as I mentioned, and I know how relentless that pain and recovery can be.

And...I'm also well aware of your own tendency to overdo, so I had put two-and-two together and figured you were reduced to baby steps and creative walking poses! Am glad you've got a plan, and if you will just defy all Marilyn logic and take. it. slow. I'm sure you'll be able to return to table-throwing days--just keep reminding yourself that now is not the time!

Ti voglio bene con tutto il cuore, ragazza pazza!

I was wondering what was going on, but I'm so sorry to hear it's your back. I've never had a backache in my life til this decade and it is so limiting and frustrating and painful. One little thing that really helps me is to drink a glass of water every hour I am awake. Very minor detail but it really helps. You probably already know about that but thought I'd tell you just in case.

I will pray for you that you will get better for this very important trip.

Thanks Mar for taking care of yourself. And thanks Tamara for caring about Mar!
