Last Sunday evening was gorgeous! Actually, right now every day has been gorgeous; warm, Spring weather has come to north TX, hooray!
I love that this season of the year comes earlier here than other places we have lived. The winter months aren't around long enough to get tired of them. This year, the spring blossoms have seemed even more beautiful than in other years. It could be that I have just forgotten or perhaps the cold snaps we had in February attributed to a glorious March?
When I left the beginning of March for the wedding, the buds and blossoms were just beginning to show and when I came home a few days later, everything was in full bloom! Spring is breathtaking.
Back to our Sunday walk. Emily had just returned from Indianapolis, Smash had come home from climbing in OK the day before and Meg had returned the night before from Girl's Camp - just in time to make it to some of the wedding reception - which was gorgeous, by the way. So, Sunday afternoon/evening brought on some tired and weary-from-traveling personalities. I'm sure we are not the only family to experience this but sometimes after the kids have been away from each other (and indulged somehow by friends or other sources) there is a warming up period upon reentry. They have to get acquainted with each other again. There are times when they can do this in a happy manner and other times when they are cranky with each other. Sometimes these reacquainting periods remind me a little of the first week of Kindergarten; after school they are tired, cranky and clingy. They have spent all of their good energy elsewhere and come home depleted. As happy as they were last Sunday to reunite, and believe me we were all SO happy to be home together again, we were all tired and not at our best. But the Sunday walk and a frisbee did the trick.
The park was in bloom, the weather perfect for enjoying a stroll, trees were begging to be climbed and with each step we were getting back to us. Ahh.
I didn't bring my camera so I snapped a few with my cell but a few days later I returned for time alone in the park and more photos.
I love seeing the children. Megan looks a little like Emi here. I also like the pictures of the trees and flowers. Beautiful!!!

I can't wait for springtime to hit out here. We've had a few teases, but nothing permanent yet. But I'm glad that you guys are getting some warmer weather.

All, thanks for the fun afternoon!
Trees are so much fun for pictures!
Ashton, look great even though the ants are crawling on you!
Mom, might be that Megan looks like Emily because it is Emily :)
Mar, thanks for thinking and capturing these moments.
