When we went to Fripp Island a few years ago, we got to see the last few sea turtles make it to the ocean. It was so so cool. I could not believe how tiny those little guys were.

It really is an experience everyone should have in their lives. The feeling of watching such tiny creatures and not being able to help is really humbling in a way. Nature is so beautiful, but it can be so very cruel.

I just love that Megan was able to do this!

Jonathan

Mar and Megan,

Do you have a "Crush" on sea turtles?

JD

Mar~

Yes, Jon, we do!

Karen,
That is really cool! I didn't know that you girls got to see that happen while you were visiting Fripp Island! That was such a great trip for you!

Marilyn

Funny, that was the first thing I thought of! I loved our trip to Fripp. :)

The girls from the preservation group let us film the turtles so I have a cute video. They also helped nudge a couple of stragglers since it was hard for even them to just stand by. But it was still sad since we knew that turtles that can't make it to the sea probably won't survive for long in the ocean.

It was a really neat experience. I am so glad Megan got to have a similar treat.

Jonathan

Guess I need to be more like Crush!
