The other day, as I was filling out more new patient forms, I got to the emergency contact portion of the form and as I began to fill in the blanks, there was a feeling of relief to know that I could fill out the answers to those questions easily and automatically.
There was no question in my mind about whether or not my emergency contact would accept that responsibility and/or title.
Isn't that a wonderful feeling?! It was for me.
While I was smack dab in the middle of filling out paperwork (which needed TOO much information) for another medical office that I may or may not return to, I felt a surge of happiness.
And then a thought came to me that I shouldn't take that gift and blessing for granted.
So, after having many grateful thoughts for my EC, I feel I need to say a public thank you.
My built-in emergency contact would do anything for me and I know that.
Thank you, Jonathan, my EC of (going on) 24 years.
I do appreciate what you do for me and how willing you are to help me - no matter what.
And although I have not had an emergency where a stranger has had to call and request your services as the EC, I have been able to count on you many times.
I really do feel happy and very blessed to have my EC "built in" and I'm thankful that you are so willing to jump in wherever needed.
Oh, and in case of an emergency or in case you are wondering...
on any of your paperwork that I fill out for you, I have appointed myself as your EC - hope that's okay! :)
Thanks Mar for being my "EC" too!
