Another blood draw yesterday.
Yes, I got to see banana peel girl again, her given name is Erin. And she was once again, very kind. She even gave me her schedule, so I will always be able to have her. :)
Got the results today.
My blood is not improving.
(I think it might be hard for me to build blood when I have had some taken out every 3 days - just a thought). :)
I am not able to absorb iron.
And I have been taking and eating a LOT of it.
They have found antibodies in the blood so on to further testing...
The doc (hematologist, oncologist, internal med -you know the Hulk of doctors) told me today that I will need an iron transfusion, an endoscopy and a colonoscopy. All asap.
The orders have gone in to the insurance and to each office and they will call me with my appointment times.
He would like it done this week.
So, not all that exciting and not exactly the news I was hoping for but we are on our way to finding out more and the iron transfusion should help me start to feel better in the meantime - although he told me it could be brutal.
The news could be much worse, so I am thankful for what I know and have right now.
And if I were to start feeling better, that would be really an incredible feeling, it's been a long time...
Oh no. I'm hoping it's a crazy menopausal thing.
Dennis and I are praying for you Mar. Several times a day. Thank you for the update.

I hope you are feeling better soon! My dad suffered from the same thing last year. It took months for his hematocrit levels to become normal, but they did and he's doing great. Hoping yours do the same!

Oh, my goodness! I haven't been keeping up on blogs because I haven't done a good job of keeping up on anything in my life these days. I made your famous Oreo cupcakes today, and while I was getting the recipe from your site, I couldn't help but take a minute to see what you were up to.
I'm sick that you're sick, but I'm grateful that you are surrounded by people who are doing everything they can to help you. I wish I were closer so that I could be one of those people. Regardless, prayers work from even a 1,000 miles away, and we'll be sending a lot of them in your direction.
You're not whining. Keep us posted.
Love you and miss you!

Love you!!
(Also, I'm sorry you have to have an endoscopy and a colonoscopy. Those really don't sound fun.)
