Megan loves to climb and although this type of climbing is new to her, she is doing so well!
(Beautiful color in the rocks of these mountains).
Diana:
Diana! She did so well! She climbs like a pro already.
Emi on belay. When Jonathan taught Emi how to belay, he let her know that his life (or the person on the rope) is in her hands. She took that lesson very seriously; it is hard for her to give even an inch of rope, ha, ha! Love that sweet girl!
We stayed out longer than we planned so the sun glared peaked over the tops of the mountains and made it hard to see the climber. My sunglasses came in handy for the kids on belay. (I think they both look cute in them). :)
Nathan belaying Jonathan - before he fell...yes, a bit of a fall (9 or 10 feet) where he hurt his ankle, hit his head (thankful for a helmet!), hung upside down in a sort of curled up position while looking like a roly poly bug and nearly gave me a heart attack. He lifted Nathan right off the ground! Next time we will have two or three on belay for Jon. :)
Check out the cool photo of Nathan below:
Nathan is lead climbing for the first time; he's a natural! He's always been a good climber and he was excited to learn how to lead climb.
The photo below cracks me up. Nathan had to take out the last of his safety equipment right there and free climb the rest of the way down - not too far. Emily was right there and held out her arms and said, "Jump! I'll catch you, Nathan!" Ha, Ha! I just love these kids of ours!
Smash was at track camp while we were climbing. He would have been all over the mountain if he had been able to climb with us.
I wasn't able to climb yet. Just the altitude alone was a killer for me and I struggled with the feeling of falling over and passing out the whole time we were out there. (Still working on those blood levels!) But I have learned to enjoy life with only half a brain - or less. :)
You guys look great out there! I thought that pic of Emily was you!!

I also thought that picture of Emily was you!
I'm sorry you are still struggling with those blood levels. Must be so incredibly frustrating for you.

With my most recent fall, we are both working on half a brain! But you have the better half!

Haha. Love Nathan in your sunglasses. He is rocking them!
And what a fun family outing! I'm sorry you're still having a bit of a rough time, but I'm glad things are still improving! Plus, I think you're a star for not letting a little thing like low iron/low blood keep you down.
