AND THROUGH THE WOODS...
well, not exactly the woods, we tried to avoid those as much as possible, on this trip to grandma's house.
With all of the wildfires burning in our western states this year, there weren't too many route options but we managed. (Where there is a will...)
Before I say one more word though, I have to make mention of the great lengths my parents have gone to in order to have me stay here and help me continue to become and remain healthy.
My mom is an amazing person. She has incredible energy and she is able to accomplish so much. No matter what the task is at hand, she takes it on completely. She has transformed the kitchen and home into a gluten-free zone. Completely gluten-free! She has also instructed everyone else to keep the gluten out of the home so I won't get sick. I cannot believe she did all of that for me. She has made another safe environment for me. I'm so grateful that my parents have done all of that for my health. We are worried about what we will do when we leave here and have to stay in other places. I might need to stay here more than we had planned. :) My parents keep asking us to just stay...they are so sweet to us.
The kids are happy here; I love to see that!
They love hanging out with grandpa and grandma. Isn't that fabulous?
Smash has been going with grandpa everyday and working along side him. He does all of the heavy lifting so my dad doesn't hurt his back. He is enjoying every day with grandpa. It's great to watch him jump out of bed early each morning and get ready quickly so he can get to work. My dad is super busy with work right now, so he is really happy for the extra help.
Megan has been running errands with grandma and doing what she can to help grandma around the house. She's taken on a couple of projects that will help grandma out quite a bit. I'll show photos later when I can get on my laptop.
Smash has a pole vault camp next week, so we will be traveling a few hours for that It's in Provo, so that means we get to see Nathan and Emily too! In a couple of weeks he has another camp that we will travel too as well. The trouble with that week is that Meg has a camp in CO - the same week! Can you tell I was super-duper low on blood when I made those plans??? Ya, not the brightest decision, so we need to figure out how we will get these kids to where they need to be.
More to come...
A mother's love knows no bounds! I sure hope I get to meet your Mom someday.
I am learning from you that gluten free means not even being around it. I never had realize that before.

Way to go, Grandma!! That is awesome. I am looking forward to see what Megan is working on, and I think it's so neat that Ashton is getting to go out with Grandpa. How cool!

Hi Jill,
You know that really is the case right now, I cannot/should not have even a trace of gluten. I will never be able to have gluten again but I need to be very vigilant while trying to get my blood levels back to normal. I cannot risk getting sick so there cannot be a threat of cross-contamination or anything. It's a tricky business to learn but we are getting there. Thanks for all of your help! I appreciate it!
