We have been totally unplugged!
And it has been so wonderful.
(See below? This is one way we unplug!)
(Not certain why his face is so shady! I tried to lighten it as much as I could so we could see him! He says he's my "mystery man" but after 24 years I kind of know what he's going to do or say before he does it and I like that).
Jon and I have just spent the past week in Bear Lake, ID. with little cell phone coverage, no internet or any other form of media. Talk about relaxing!
(I'll share more about that a little later.)
Our (month long) time away has been fantastic and very helpful in getting me to a much healthier place. (Mainly thanks to my parents who created a safe environment for me!)
We have just returned to Colorado; back to reality...
it was hard for me to return and know that I will now need to jump back in to our normal lives and all of the tasks that accompany our return.
But it is time to reconnect with the rest of the world - so I am plugging back in, albeit reluctantly.
And today is our 24th anniversary! Yes! Happy Anniversary to us!
We are more grateful for each other than ever, more happy that we have each other and even more excited about the years to come. Such a great feeling!
While we were in Bear Lake, we were able to really enjoy each other. Boy, do we know how to laugh together!
And we played! Well, as much as we could given some of our little challenges at the moment. But I pushed and did as much as I felt I could and then some.
Our time together was perfect in every way. Just what we needed - to reconnect. :)
Happy 24!
(Note to self: take the photo of us BEFORE we bike (on a surrey built for two) around Bear Lake...not after - Jon looks really tired because he is - I think he worked extra hard with those pedals so I wouldn't have to! Sooo like him to take care of me).
Mar is my best friend!

Happy Anniversary! No way do you two look old enough to have been married that long!!! Thank you for your comment on my blog, I'm sorry it took so long to respond to you. It would have been so fun to have met Karen's aunt, but it sounds like we traded places. We sure miss Colorado, isn't it a wonderful place to live?!
