DAY 2 of gratitude.
Today is the Sabbath and I am happy and thankful to have a day set aside for worship and family time.
Church was wonderful (even though I taught today). Sacrament meeting had such a sweet feeling about it, I was able to take the Sacrament, and I enjoyed Jonathan's lesson in SS.
Smash was set apart as the assistant to the Bishop in his quorum AND he met with the Bishop today and got started (officially) on his mission papers.
Here we are counting down the days for Emily to return home and Smash is getting ready to leave.
I am so grateful for Smash. He's a good son and friend to me. We love to work on projects together. He is really growing into quite the young man. He is still our crazy, fun kid but he is becoming more serious about the important things in his life. He appreciates the gifts of God.
After church today he brought a friend home with him, this same friend was at our house last night as well. His friend was telling me about their game and movie night at our house. He told me Smash changed seats when a young lady arrived, so this friend of his said, "I'll go sit by your sister." Smash quickly replied, "Don't touch my sister!" ha, ha!He is protective of the women in his life, young or old. I'm okay with that.
During the remodel of our home and our move, Smash was irreplaceable. We have not finished all of our projects on the house yet, but they are coming along nicely. I'm thankful for his many abilities and his willingness to help.
And I love having him around; there is always something happening when Smash is around!
I just love that kid!
Great post! Smash is amazing!
