MISSIONARY MONDAY.
Oh, how I live for and love Monday's!
The day I get to (send and) receive email from Emily.
Each week I wait for her email to arrive. If I have to leave home before I hear from her, I will check my phone for email messages until I get one. (Monday is really the only day I consistently check my email). As soon as I receive her email, I hurry and read it, skimming it at first to know if all is well and if she is doing fine. Then I go back over the letter again, ...carefully..., slowly, while I take in every detail.
And then I tear up... So many emotions pour through me as I finish her words; happiness and gratitude for a sweet daughter and for how she's living her life, sadness because I miss her and I have to wait another week to hear from her.
Most of all, I feel a great deal of love for her and for the people she talks about in her letters.
Oh, how I love this darling daughter of ours.
She returns home from her mission in 5 weeks and 3 days - I am EXCITED!
Thankful, thankful, thankful. :)
Happy Monday!
I use to do the SAME thing….I skimmed through my missionary's letters first to make sure all was well, then I could breath better. Then I would start at the beginning again and savor every word!

5 weeks! 5 weeks! 5 weeks!
I love all your missionaries-- Nathan, Emily, and soon to be Smash. They are bright spots in this world of ours.
